Today we wrap-up our look at practical steps for tapping into the Power of Mortality™ and living it on a daily basis. (If you need to catch up, you can do so here.)
First you need to accept - at the core of your being - the fact that you are mortal and that no one owes you a specific amount of time on earth. That is the toughest step. Once you've done that, you need to work on understanding who you are, then you need to be clear about what you really want out of life, next you need to focus on taking action
That brings us to the seventh step which is the ongoing process of being mindful of all of the previous steps. The world will try to lure you back into thinking that there will always be "more time" and that you will somehow have "enough time". The world will try to get you to live your life in the future.
I feel that it is my duty to warn you that some of your family and friends will likely be uncomfortable with your new perspective. This is understandable, because for them, your acceptance of your own mortality will be a disquieting reminder of their own mortality. Furthermore, as you begin to reorganize your priorities and live out your true dreams, your successes and happiness will inevitably remind others that perhaps they are not using their full potential. You may be a painful reminder of the compromises they have made along the way and the hopes and dreams that they have put on hold because they bought into the concept of "enough time". I urge you to take the time to show others that the Power of Mortality™ is available to everyone. Share the lessons you've learned with them and invite them to take their lives off of "autopilot" and regain control of their destinies.
If you've approached this entire process with a sincere heart and have really worked at each of the steps, I guarantee that your life will be different! The Power of Mortality™ is a very real power. A power that is yours to harness!
