Let me start by thanking you for allowing Mindful Moment into your 'inbox'. Some of you have been reading this weekly newsletter for over three years now! I sent out the very first one on May 20th, 2003 and today it reaches people in 27 countries!
Every so often I like to look back over the archive of past issues. (You can do the same here - all of the previous issues are online.) I find it amazing to see the changes that have happened in the past three years. When I started, my son was nine months old. Today, he is nearly four and will be starting Jr. Kindergarten in the fall! He also has a sister who will soon turn seven months old!
What about you?
Do you have some sort of record of who you are and where you've come from? Perhaps you keep your thoughts, hopes and dreams in a journal. Or maybe you write poetry. Are you one of those people who create scrapbooks for significant events, moments and activities in your life? Or perhaps you choose to chronicle your life through photographs or videos.
If you don't currently have some method of keeping a record of your life - I strongly urge you to start today! The benefits are numerous. Most obviously, you will have something of incredible value to pass on to your children and grandchildren. It can also be very cathartic, therapeutic and relaxing. However, in my mind, the greatest benefit of having some form of recording your life's journey, is that it provides you with a demonstration of how you continue to change, grow and develop over time.
Today I want to challenge you, yes YOU, to keeping some form of record of your life over the next year. When you look back in one year's time I can almost guarantee that you'll be amazed at the changes in your life!
ENJOY NOW!
