Isn't it great when you are about to purchase an item
that you use regularly and you find that the packaging
is slightly bigger and there is a banner on the
label proclaiming that it now has 10% or 20% more
for the same price? That always makes my day.
Well, now Patrick Mathieu has 20% more for
the same low price! No, I'm not talking about
weight-gain, and I'm certainly not talking about 20%
more hair! I'm talking about LIFE ITSELF!
You see - yesterday (Saturday, March 18, 2006) I
turned 36 years old! And when you consider that my "expiry date" is March 18, 2000, I have now enjoyed
20% more life than I was expected to have.
What would you do with 20% more life?
And here's a bigger question - what sort of life
expectancy do you have for yourself? 75 years? 83
years? 105 years?
The Power of
Mortality has shown me that the
actual number of years you live is largely
irrelevant. What matters is what you do with the
time you have. If you said that you expect to live
to be 90 years old, then let me ask you - what will
you do with that time?
The answer to that question can be found in the
answer to this question: "What are you doing with
NOW?"
Clearly, none of us can be certain how much time
we will have in our physical existence. So let's
make a deal - let's make each moment really count!
Because I've found that once you live that way -
dates and ages are irrelevant.
ENJOY NOW!

P.S. - I just want to take a second to thank my
mother for everything that she's done for me over
these 36 years! I always view March 18th as HER
day. After all - it's a birthday and she's
the one that gave birth! I didn't really do
anything other than show up.
Thanks Mom! I love
you!
