As many of you know, I have a three year old son.
My son loves to sing. In fact, he sings all the
time. And the best thing about his singing, is that
he has such great enthusiasm, he doesn't worry about
getting the words correct.
Lately he's been singing all sorts of Christmas
carols. Last week he decided that he wanted to sing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". What actually came
out was a brand new song. It goes:
"I wish you WERE a Merry Christmas,
I wish you WERE a Merry Christmas,
I wish you WERE a Merry Christmas,
And a happy new YOU."
The more I think about his version, the more I
like it! What better sentiment than to wish that
people actually embody the spirit of Christmas?
Wouldn't the world be a better place if people tried
to LIVE the holiday spirit year round?
And what about the last line of my son's version? "And a happy new YOU." What more can you wish for
someone?
So on behalf of my son, my daughter, my wife and
I, let me take this opportunity to wish that
each and every one of you were a Merry Christmas and
that you experience a happy new you.
ENJOY NOW!
