If someone were to ask you about the secret to a successful life, what would you say? Personally, I would tell them to:
- stay focused on the "now", and
- be mindful of your thoughts.
Let me explain the first part of that statement by saying that the past is irrelevant! Your past is not who you are. It's not even who you were. Rather, your past reflects who you thought you were. This brings me to the second part of my statement.
I firmly believe that what you think about - you bring about. I am by no means the first one to come to this conclusion. Here are just a few of my favourite examples:
- "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
- The Bible.
- "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."
- The Bible.
- "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve."
- Napoleon Hill.
- "All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts."
- James Allen.
- "The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind."
- William James.
- "Thoughts become things."
- Mike Dooley
- "You get what you think about - whether you want it or not."
- Abraham-Hicks.
So it's really quite simple: the past is irrelevant and your future depends entirely on what you are thinking NOW - in the present moment. Each and every moment.
ENJOY NOW!

It is not a question of whether you "have what it takes," but of whether you take what you have - and then use it.
Take the gifts you have - they are plenteous - and share them with all the world. Apply them to the challenge at hand. Use them and give them in your life as if there's no tomorrow.
