MINDFUL MOMENT 2003 11 09 - Synchronicity Are you familiar with the concept of synchronicity? syn·chro·nic·i·ty - noun So, how does this tie into being mindful? Well, unless you are giving proper attention to the present moment you'll miss the synchronous messages that life sends you. I was speaking with a friend recently about the fact that people often look for signs of guidance in their lives and are disappointed because there are no burning bushes. In my experience, if you are practicing mindful awareness and truly open to synchronicity, you'll see that the signs are everywhere! Instead of looking for a burning bush, you'll come to realize that the entire forest is on fire! -- This past week a series of synchronous events led me to discover an organization called Cancer Comfort. Cancer Comfort is an online resource center for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. Their goal is to help empower you with knowledge so that you can make the best decisions for your care. Their Resource Center provides links to hundreds of high-quality websites, which will help you locate information on conventional and alternative therapies, clinical trials, financial assistance, support groups, organizations, charities and more. Cancer Comfort's exclusive line of "Daily Comfort Kits" were designed specifically to address the special needs of the cancer patient. Each kit is hand-crafted with lots of TLC and packaged in a custom designed keepsake box, which can be used to store sentimental items such as cards and poems. Every product has been tested by cancer patients and passed their 5-star quality assurance program. After speaking with Cancer Comfort's Kathy Browning about the message
that I deliver through my speaking and writing, I was flattered to be
invited to become a Contributing Writer to their newsletter: The
Art of Living Well. To quote Kathy: I encourage you to visit their website <http://www.cancercomfort.net> and read about Sarah's Gift. After reading this heartwarming story you will want to post a message to Sarah on their web log at http://bluemoondesigns0.tripod.com/cancercomfort/ and hopefully you'll even make a donation! Doing so may just start a tremendous chain of synchronous events for you! ENJOY NOW! Copyright (c) 2003-2004, all rights reserved. |
