MINDFUL MOMENT
2003 07 20 - What are you afraid of?

What are you afraid of?

Do you find that your fears are stopping you from becoming the person you want to be? Does fear stop you from doing what you want to do?

We've all felt the icy grip of fear at one time or another. Perhaps it was in regards to a career decision, or a relationship, or some aspect of family dynamics. Fear paralyzes us and leaves us helpless until we manage to snap out of it and finally take some action.

My personal focus on mindfulness has led me to a deeper understanding of fear. If you think about all of the fear that you've expereinced, you'll see that it is either rooted in past experience or focused on imagined future events. Fear is never focused on the present.

In her book "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway", Susan Jeffers says: "At the bottom of every one of your fears is simply the fear that you can't handle whatever life may bring you."

Based on the principle of Mindful Awareness, I have developed a technique to help people work through any fear and move towards overcoming it. To help others do this, I have put together an interactive workshop titled: "FEAR FACTOR? How YOU Can Overcome Your Fears!"

Workshop participants come away with a deeper understanding of the root cause of many of their fears and are better equipped to move beyond the fears, thus freeing them to live a better life.

If you know of any group or organization that would be interested in hosting a free 30-minute version of this workshop, please let me know and I'll be happy to follow up.

ENJOY NOW!
